Aminoryhmillä is a Finnish term referring to amino groups. An amino group is a functional group in organic chemistry characterized by a nitrogen atom bonded to two hydrogen atoms, with the formula -NH2. This group is a fundamental building block of many organic molecules, including amines and amino acids.

Amino groups are weakly basic due to the lone pair of electrons on the nitrogen atom, which can accept a proton. This basicity plays a crucial role in many biochemical processes.
