Amersham
Amersham is a market town and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, England. It is situated in the Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, approximately 27 miles northwest of central London. The town is historically divided into two distinct areas: Old Amersham, a picturesque hilltop village with ancient buildings, and Amersham-on-the-Hill, the modern commercial and administrative center which developed around the railway station.
The earliest recorded mention of Amersham dates back to the 13th century, though evidence of settlement in
Amersham-on-the-Hill grew considerably in the 19th and 20th centuries, particularly following the arrival of the Metropolitan
