Amazonasländer refers to the countries that share portions of the Amazon rainforest and the Amazon River basin. These nations are primarily located in South America. The largest portion of the Amazon rainforest is within Brazil, which holds over 60% of the biome. Peru contains the second largest share, followed by Colombia. Other Amazonasländer include Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana, which is an overseas department of France.

The Amazon basin is characterized by its immense biodiversity, acting as a global hotspot for flora and fauna. The Amazon River, the largest river by discharge volume of water in the world, is the central waterway of this region.
