Alucard

Alucard is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the manga series Hellsing, created by Kouta Hirano. Alucard is a powerful, ancient vampire who serves the Hellsing Organization, a British paramilitary group dedicated to hunting and destroying supernatural threats. His true name is Dracula, the legendary vampire of Transylvania, and he is depicted as a being of immense power and a master of vampiric abilities. Alucard's personality is complex, often characterized by a sadistic enjoyment of combat, a deep weariness with immortality, and a fierce loyalty to his master, Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing.

Throughout Hellsing, Alucard is tasked with protecting England from various supernatural entities, including rogue vampires, ghouls, and members of the Millennium organization, a remnant of Nazi Germany seeking to conquer the world with an army of vampires. Alucard's immense power allows him to manifest an array of abilities, such as shapeshifting, controlling shadows, regenerating from severe injuries, and summoning familiars, which are often the souls of those he has consumed. He wields a pair of signature pistols, the .454 Casull and the Jackal, as well as a combat sword. His fighting style is brutal and often theatrical, demonstrating a disdain for lesser supernatural beings. Despite his monstrous capabilities, Alucard possesses a code of honor and a desire for a worthy opponent, believing that a true death can only be achieved by a powerful foe. His ultimate goal, hinted at throughout the series, is to find a way to die a true death, having grown weary of his unending existence.
