Altrights refers to a loosely connected and diverse collection of right-wing ideologies, political beliefs, and social movements that reject mainstream conservatism. The term emerged in the early 2010s and gained prominence online, particularly on social media platforms. Adherents often express opposition to multiculturalism, mass immigration, and what they perceive as liberal or progressive dominance in media, academia, and politics.

Key characteristics associated with the altright include nationalist sentiments, a focus on identity politics often centered on white identity, and a rejection of traditional political discourse. Some elements within the altright have been described as espousing white supremacist, anti-Semitic, or misogynistic views, though not all individuals who identify with the broader label necessarily subscribe to these specific ideologies. The movement is known for its use of irony, memes, and online trolling tactics to spread its message and provoke reactions.
