Aloitteella

Aloitteella is a Finnish noun phrase used to indicate that an action or proposal was initiated by a particular person, group, or organization. It is formed from aloite (initiative, proposal) in the adessive case, producing aloitteella. In formal Finnish, the expression roughly corresponds to “on the initiative of” or “by the initiative of” and is common in public administration, politics, and organizational communication.

It is typically used with the initiator in the genitive before the adessive form, for example yhdistyksen aloitteella or kaupunginvaltuuston aloitteella, to attribute the source of the motion, proposal, or action. The phrase helps identify who started something, rather than who carried it out. It can accompany verbs such as esitettiin, käynnistettiin, or hyväksyttiin to denote the act being initiated by that actor. Examples include: Esitys on tehty yhdistyksen aloitteella.
