Alleelit
Alleelit is a fictional concept used in speculative biology and worldbuilding to describe a genetic model in which a locus supports a richly diverse set of alleles that interact to determine phenotypic outcomes. In this framework, an allele is not simply dominant or recessive; different alleles can combine to produce non-linear effects on traits, fitness, and adaptation.
In Alleelit, allelic interactions are non-additive and can include codominance, overdominance, or context-dependent dominance. The phenotype
Origins and use: The concept appears in educational materials and worldbuilding discussions as a thought experiment
Criticism and limitations: As a hypothetical construct, Alleelit risks conflating stylized assumptions with biological reality. Real-world
