Alfonsín
Raúl Alfonsín was an Argentine lawyer and politician who served as the President of Argentina from 1983 to 1989. He was a leading figure in the Radical Civic Union (UCR) party and is credited with restoring democracy to Argentina after a period of military dictatorship. Born in 1931, Alfonsín studied law and became involved in politics early in his career. He was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 1973.
