In theoretical models, alatoitumuse is predicted to form under high‑pressure, high‑temperature conditions in subduction zones from aluminum- and silicon‑rich melts with trace titanium. It is described as a rare phase that could crystallize within residual melt pockets in ultramafic to basaltic host rocks.
