Al-Suyuti is a biographical dictionary compiled by the Egyptian scholar Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti. This extensive work, often referred to by its full title, Tabaqat al-Huffaz (Biographies of the Quranic Reciters), or simply as Tabaqat al-Hafaz, provides detailed accounts of scholars who were known for their mastery of the Quran. Al-Suyuti, a prolific writer himself, lived from 1445 to 1505 CE and was a significant figure in Islamic scholarship during the Mamluk era.
