Ajokielto

Ajokielto is a Finnish legal term for a driving ban or license suspension. It is a temporary or, in some cases, permanent restriction on the right to drive motor vehicles, imposed when driving is deemed unsafe or illegal. The decision can be made by authorities such as the police, or as part of criminal or traffic court proceedings, and is enforced under Finnish traffic legislation.

Common grounds for an ajokielto include driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, serious or repeated traffic offenses, driving with a suspended license, or medical conditions that impair driving ability.
