Aigialeia
Aigialeia is a municipality in the Achaea regional unit of Western Greece, Greece. It is located in the northern part of the Peloponnese along the Gulf of Corinth, spanning coastal towns and inland communities. The administrative seat is the town of Aigio (Aigion). The landscape combines low-lying coastal plains with foothills and mountains inland, including parts of the northern Peloponnese range, and features areas of agricultural activity and natural scenery along the coast.
Historically, the area has ancient settlements dating to classical times and was part of the Achaean League.
