Adheerass

Adheerass is a town in the Kandalurai block of the Salem district of Tamil Nadu state in southern India. Located approximately 70 kilometers northwest of Salem, Adheerass has a population density of around 201 people per square kilometer.

The town is situated on the Salem-Dindigul Highway, which connects the major cities of Salem and Dindigul. Adheerass has a strong agricultural economy, with paddy, sugarcane, cotton, and wheat being the primary crops cultivated in the area.

Geographically, Adheerass is situated in the Shevaroy Hills at an average elevation of 382 meters above sea level. The region is characterized by a tropical savanna climate, with a rainy monsoon season from June to September. The town experiences average temperatures ranging from 22 to 38 degrees Celsius throughout the year.

The town has access to basic infrastructure, including pucca roads, electric power, and adequate healthcare facilities. As of the 2011 census, the population comprised 201 residents, distributed among 93 families. With modest climate, rural and urban services, and opportunities in education and employment, Adheerass is a developing town focused on fulfilling agricultural and community needs.
