Acquatici

Acquatici is a term in the Italian language. It is the masculine plural form of acquatico, an adjective meaning of or relating to water. The feminine form is acquatica, and the plural feminine form is acquatiche. The term is commonly used to describe living organisms that inhabit water or water-related habitats, as well as objects, environments, or activities associated with water.

In biology and ecology, phrases such as animali acquatici and piante acquatiche refer to aquatic animals and aquatic plants, and ambienti acquatici for aquatic environments. The word is also used in general descriptions of water-based phenomena, for example a sorgente acquatica (water source) or attività acquatiche (water activities).
