Acceleratorteknik, often translated as accelerator technology, refers to the principles, methods, and equipment used to accelerate charged particles to high energies. The core component of most accelerator systems is a high-voltage or radio-frequency (RF) field that exerts an electric force on charged particles, increasing their kinetic energy.
