AIEEs

AIEEs stands for All India Engineering Entrance Examination. It was a standardized aptitude test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in various government and private engineering colleges across the country. The examination aimed to assess a student's knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, the core subjects for engineering studies.

The AIEEE was a crucial gateway for millions of aspiring engineers. Successful candidates were typically allocated seats in engineering colleges based on their ranks in the examination. The syllabus was designed to test conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities. The exam pattern usually involved objective-type questions, and the results were used for admissions into Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) courses.

In 2013, the AIEEE was merged with the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), which is now known as JEE Main. This amalgamation aimed to streamline the admission process for engineering courses and provide a single, comprehensive entrance examination for national-level engineering admissions. Therefore, the AIEEE as a separate entity no longer exists, with its functions and purpose now being fulfilled by JEE Main.
