2A6 is a designation for a Russian-designed twin-turboprop transport aircraft. It was developed by the Beriev design bureau in the 1970s and 1980s. The program aimed to create a versatile aircraft suitable for various tasks, including passenger transportation, cargo hauling, and amphibious operations.

The 2A6 features a distinctive hull design with a set of retractable landing gear, allowing it to operate from a wide range of surfaces, including runways, sea, and river. The aircraft's propulsion system consists of two high-power turboprop engines, providing increased power and efficiency. The main cabin is equipped with large doors and windows, facilitating easy loading and unloading of goods or passengers.

In terms of dimensions, the 2A6 has a length of approximately 24 meters and a wingspan of 24.5 meters. Its maximum takeoff weight is around 44 tons. The aircraft can accommodate up to 40 passengers or carry a payload of up to 12 tons.

The 2A6 was initially intended for production and operation by the Soviet military, with the aim of creating an amphibious cargo and passenger transport. Several prototypes and pre-production aircraft were built, but most were not completed due to a lack of funding and interest.

A single prototype of the 2A6-100 was completed and underwent flight testing in the late 1980s. Although an impressive design, the 2A6 ultimately failed to meet its intended production goals, and its development was eventually canceled.
