12benzanthracene
12benzanthracene, also known as benzo[a]anthracene, is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) with the chemical formula C18H12. It consists of four fused benzene rings. This compound is a colorless to pale yellow crystalline solid. Like other PAHs, 12benzanthracene is formed during incomplete combustion of organic matter. It can be found in sources such as coal tar, cigarette smoke, and exhaust fumes.
In terms of its properties, 12benzanthracene is not readily soluble in water but is soluble in organic
