Üleslükkejõud, also known as buoyant force, is an upward force exerted by a fluid that opposes the weight of an immersed object. This force arises due to the difference in pressure exerted by the fluid at the bottom and top of the object. According to Archimedes' principle, the magnitude of the buoyant force is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object. If an object's density is less than the density of the fluid it is immersed in, the buoyant force will be greater than the object's weight, causing it to float. Conversely, if the object's density is greater than the fluid's density, the buoyant force will be less than its weight, and the object will sink.
