ühetaolise

Ühetaolise is a fictional mineral introduced in discussions of speculative mineralogy and in science fiction narratives. It does not correspond to any confirmed natural species in the geological record and is not recognized by real-world mineralogical databases.

It is described as a silicate mineral with a layered tectosilicate-like framework, consisting of parallel sheets of corner-sharing tetrahedra and interlayer cations that can vary among alkali and alkaline-earth elements. The hypothetical chemical composition is represented in simplified form as (A2+)2(Si6O18)(OH)2, where A2+ denotes interlayer cations such as Na+, K+, or Ca2+. This layered structure is said to give ühetaolise highly anisotropic physical properties, including strong basal-plane stiffness and potential electrochemical activity along the interlayer direction.

Formation and occurrence in speculative models are typically tied to high-pressure, high-temperature conditions in ultramafic or carbon-rich environments, or to synthetic routes in diamond-anvil cell experiments. In such models, ühetaolise is often described as metastable at ambient conditions, slowly converting to more stable phyllosilicates over geological timescales.
