óöruggri
öruggri is an Icelandic adjective used to express a higher degree of safety or security relative to something else. It is the comparative form of the basic adjective öruggr/öruggur, which means safe or secure. In sentences of comparison, Icelandic commonly uses the construction X er öruggri en Y, meaning “X is safer than Y.” Because Icelandic adjectives decline for gender, number, and case, the ending of öruggri changes to agree with the noun it modifies; the base pattern, however, is recognizable as the comparative form.
In usage, öruggri appears across domains such as safety policies, risk assessments, technological or cybersecurity descriptions,
Etymology: öruggri derives from the adjective öruggur, with the common comparative suffix -ri used in Icelandic.
