ízením

Ízením is a term that appears in some texts as a diacritic variant of the standard Czech instrumental form řízením. In regular Czech orthography—and in Slovak—the form ízením is not recognized as correct. When encountered, it is usually the result of a typographical error, OCR misrecognition, or an alternate regional spelling that omits the háček on ř and alters diacritics.

Etymology and form: The basis is the Czech noun řízení, meaning drive, regulation, administration, or the act

Usage and interpretation: In proper Czech, use řízením (not ízením) when referring to the instrumental meaning.

See also: řízení, řídit, riadenie, riadením.

Notes: Because ízením is not standard, readers should treat it as a potential misspelling or transcription
