Érzékelések refers to the biological processes by which organisms detect and respond to stimuli in their internal and external environments. These stimuli can be physical, chemical, or biological in nature. The detection of these stimuli is mediated by specialized sensory organs and receptors, which convert the physical or chemical energy of the stimulus into electrical signals that can be processed by the nervous system.

The human sensory system, for example, comprises several distinct modalities, including vision, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. Each of these systems is equipped with specific receptor cells that are sensitive to particular types of stimuli. Photoreceptors in the eyes detect light, mechanoreceptors in the skin and ears respond to pressure and vibration, chemoreceptors in the tongue and nose detect chemical compounds, and thermoreceptors sense temperature.

Beyond these primary senses, organisms also possess internal sensory mechanisms. Proprioception, for instance, allows for the awareness of body position and movement without conscious effort. Interoception provides information about the state of internal organs, such as hunger, thirst, and pain.

The integration of these diverse sensory inputs is crucial for an organism's survival and interaction with its surroundings. The brain processes this information, leading to perception, which is the subjective experience of sensory stimuli, and subsequent behavioral responses.
