Életciklust is the Hungarian term for "life cycle," referring to the sequence of stages an entity passes from birth to termination or replacement. In Hungarian, élet means life and ciklus means cycle; the form életciklust is the object form of the noun.

In biology, the life cycle encompasses development, reproduction, and death. Many organisms have distinct stages such as embryogenesis, juvenile growth, and adult reproduction.
