çkarken

Çkarken is not a standard Turkish word. In most Turkish-language sources it is treated as a misspelling or misreading of çıkarken, the normal form meaning “while leaving” or “when leaving.”

In Turkish, the verb çıkmak means “to go out” or “to exit.” The present participle/temporal clause suffix -ken attaches to the verb stem to form a clause that means “while doing X.” The correct form is çıkarken (root çık- + -arken), yielding a phrase such as “Dışarı çıkarken kapıyı kilitle.” This construction is used to describe an action occurring simultaneously with another.

Orthographic and linguistic note: Turkish syllable structure generally does not permit a word beginning with the consonant cluster çk- without an intervening vowel, so çkarken would be considered invalid in standard Turkish.
