Çimlenmek is a Turkish verb that describes the process of a seed beginning to grow. It signifies the emergence of a new plant from a seed, marking the initial stage of germination. This biological process is crucial for the reproduction of plants and the continuation of plant life.

The act of çimlenmek typically occurs when a seed is exposed to favorable environmental conditions. These conditions generally include adequate moisture, appropriate temperature, and the presence of oxygen. Moisture is absorbed by the seed, softening its outer coat and activating enzymes within.
