As the Earth orbits the Sun, different hemispheres are tilted towards or away from the Sun at various times.

When a hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun, it receives more direct sunlight, resulting in longer days and warmer temperatures, characteristic of summer. Conversely, when a hemisphere is tilted away from the Sun, it receives less direct sunlight, leading to shorter days and cooler temperatures, marking winter.
