Åtgärdat

Åtgärdat is the past participle and adjectival form of the Swedish verb åtgärda, which means to take action to remedy, correct, or address something. It indicates that an issue, defect, or situation has been dealt with and that corrective measures have been completed. In everyday language the phrase felet är åtgärdat (the fault has been remedied) is a common usage, as is problemsen är åtgärdade in plural contexts.

The term is widely used in administrative, technical, and customer-service communications, as well as in IT and manufacturing. It appears in status updates, incident reports, and notices to signal that a previously identified problem has been resolved. Examples include åtgärdat fel, åtgärden är åtgärdad, or allvarliga avvikelser är åtgärdade. In formal writing it may also appear in constructions such as “åtgärden har vidtagits” to describe the action that has been carried out.

Etymology and form: åtgärd means action or measure, and åtgärda means to undertake such action. Adding the participial suffix -at yields åtgärdat, a past participle used as an adjective.
