Átörökítés
Átörökítés is a Hungarian legal term that translates to "inheritance" or "succession." It refers to the transfer of rights and obligations from a deceased person to their heirs. This transfer can occur either by law (intestate succession) or by a will (testamentary succession). Hungarian law outlines specific rules governing who inherits and in what proportions, particularly in cases where there is no valid will. Heirs can include close relatives such as spouses, children, parents, and siblings, with a defined order of precedence.
When a person dies, their estate, comprising all their assets and liabilities, becomes subject to átörökítés.
