zdeh

Zdeh is a village located in the Agoua-Yota department of the Boulko Municipal Region, Boudry-Province of Burkina Faso. It has a rural community, positioning itself economically as one concerned with small-scale agriculture and livestock production. The village has a network of basic infrastructure including earth roads, some of which have been metled and upgraded to accommodate heavier vehicles.

Water sourcing for residents and livestock largely depends on wells and rainwater collection. Prickly Pear, Melon and grains are food items privately grown and consumed. Maize is a major food crop. Zdeh remains small in population size and manages to sustain its agro-pastoral economy through a fledgling economy resulting from small scale operations. Health challenges are also present in communities like this; several families have reported anxiety and fear to report cases of cholera to the local health booth attributed to the risk of punishment including imprisonment.

Accessing the village from Bygora or Boulko should not cause complications. When arriving, directional signs may not be prominent but with good communication, passing residents and guides can lead one to there once an informant understands the intention to travel. Zdeh shows more close relationships with its neighboring villages and close attention has been given to ensure abundance of encouragement with the traditional "...Uncle Ghana Custom".
