výbry

Výbry is not a widely attested word in standard Czech. In contemporary dictionaries and language resources, the form lacks an established meaning. It is commonly presumed to be a misspelling or a regional/archaic variant of related terms such as výbor (committee) or výběr (selection).

When encountered in texts, the intended sense is usually inferred from context. If the author meant a body of people responsible for decisions, the standard form would be výbory. If the sense concerns choosing items or culling options, the likely form is výběry. The spellings are distinct in modern Czech orthography, with y after v in výbory and é in výběr (or výběry).

Historical documents from different dialects occasionally reflect nonstandard plural forms or sound changes; however, such usages are rare and not considered normative today. In practice, čeština writers should prefer výbory or výběry to avoid ambiguity.
