A drysuit, on the other hand, is designed to keep the wearer completely dry. It is usually made from waterproof materials like trilaminate or crushed neoprene and features watertight seals at the neck, wrists, and ankles. Drysuits require the wearer to wear insulating undergarments to provide warmth. Air can be added to or released from the suit to manage buoyancy and prevent "squeeze" (where the suit collapses due to water pressure). Drysuits are essential for diving in very cold water, extended dives, and for activities where staying dry is a priority, such as technical diving, ice diving, and some commercial diving applications. The choice between a wetsuit and a drysuit depends heavily on the water temperature, duration of exposure, and the specific activity.
