växthusverkan
Växthusverkan, or the greenhouse effect, is a natural process that warms the Earth's surface. When the sun's energy reaches the Earth, some of it is reflected back to space and the rest is absorbed and re-radiated by greenhouse gases. These gases, such as carbon dioxide, methane, and water vapor, trap some of the outgoing heat, preventing it from escaping into space. This trapped heat keeps the planet warmer than it would otherwise be, making it habitable for life.
The intensity of the greenhouse effect is influenced by the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
The consequences of an enhanced greenhouse effect are widespread and include changes in weather patterns, rising
