vuokraaika
Vuokraaika is a Finnish term referring to the period during which a property, equipment or other asset is rented. The word is a compound of vuokra (rent) and aika (time). In standard Finnish, the common term is vuokra-aika; vuokraaika is a less common variant and may appear in texts or dialects. Conceptually, it denotes the rental period as defined by the rental agreement.
A rental period can be fixed-term or open-ended. In a fixed-term lease, the contract specifies a start
Legal context: In Finland, rental agreements are governed by general contract law and, for housing, by housing
Practical considerations: Ensure the start and end dates are clear, specify renewal terms, and spell out termination
