vosostros

Vosostros is a nonstandard form that has appeared occasionally as a misspelling or portmanteau of the Spanish second-person plural pronoun vosotros. It is not recognized by the Real Academia Española or included in standard Spanish grammars. In typical usage, the informal plural you in Spain is vosotros (masculine or mixed gender) or vosotras (feminine), while in most of Latin America the equivalent form is ustedes for both formal and informal address.

Origin and usage of vosostros are not rooted in a recognized grammatical system. It may arise from confusion between vos, the second-person singular pronoun used in several dialects (notably Rioplatense and some Central American varieties), and vosotros, or from typographical errors where letters are duplicated or rearranged. Because it does not correspond to any sanctioned pronoun form, vosostros appears primarily in informal writing or online contexts as a mistake. Editors, educators, and reference works typically correct it to the standard form.

Pronunciation, gender agreement, and verb conjugation associated with vosostros would be undefined within standard Spanish grammar. When communicating in formal or widely understood contexts, speakers should use the appropriate standard forms: vosotros or vosotras in Spain, and ustedes in much of Latin America.
