volymcentrering
Volymcentrering is a term that appears in discussions related to sound reproduction and acoustic design. It describes a phenomenon or technique aimed at achieving a perceived center of sound that is consistent regardless of the listener's position. In a typical stereo setup, the perceived center image is formed by the brain's interpretation of the sound arriving from the left and right speakers. If a listener is perfectly equidistant from both speakers, the center image is usually well-defined. However, as the listener moves off-center, the sound from the closer speaker becomes dominant, and the center image can shift towards that speaker or become diffuse.
Volymcentrering, in its conceptual sense, seeks to mitigate this shift. This can be approached through various
