viðlíta
viðlíta is an Icelandic verb meaning to resemble or be similar to. It is often used to describe physical appearances, but can also refer to similarities in personality, behavior, or other qualities. The verb is derived from the Old Norse word "viðlit," which means countenance or appearance.
The conjugation of viðlíta is regular, following the standard patterns for Icelandic verbs. In the present
"Hún viðlíkur móður sinni" (She resembles her mother)
"Þessi hundur viðlíkir gamla hundinn okkar" (This dog resembles our old dog)
"Þeirra skoðanir viðlíktu mjög" (Their opinions were very similar)
viðlíta can also be used in a more abstract sense, such as when comparing concepts or ideas.
