Virherajaan, also known as Virarajendra, was a prominent ruler of the Rashtrakuta dynasty, which ruled over a significant portion of the Indian subcontinent from the 8th to the 10th century. Born in 775 AD, Virherajaan ascended to the throne after the death of his father, Dantidurga, in 793 AD. His reign marked a period of significant cultural and political development for the Rashtrakuta empire.

Under Virherajaan's rule, the Rashtrakuta empire expanded its territory, particularly in the Deccan region. He is credited with consolidating the empire's power and establishing a strong administrative system. Virherajaan's reign also saw the construction of several important temples and monuments, reflecting the dynasty's patronage of art and architecture. One of the most notable achievements of his reign was the establishment of the city of Manyakheta as the capital, which became a significant cultural and administrative center.

Virherajaan's reign was also marked by his military campaigns. He successfully defended the empire against external threats and expanded its borders through strategic alliances and military conquests. Virherajaan's reign ended in 814 AD, and he was succeeded by his son, Amoghavarsha I.
