videresende

Videresende is a verb used in Norwegian Bokmål and Danish meaning to forward a message or item to another recipient. It is used for both electronic communications and traditional mail. In everyday Norwegian you might say, "Kan du videresende denne e-posten til meg?" and in Danish, "Kan du videresende den e-mail til mig?" The form changes with tense: videresender (present), videresendte (past), har videresendt (perfect). The act of forwarding is common in both personal and professional contexts to share information without retyping content.

For digital forwarding, most e-mail clients provide a "videresend" or Forward option that copies the original content and allows adding new text before sending to a new recipient. Videresending is used for documents, presentations, or messages that should be shared with others without altering the original material.

Videresende can also refer to forwarding physical mail. A post-forwarding service redirects mail from one address to another, often through the postal service, for temporary or permanent changes of address.
