Venover is a rare-to-extinct genus of flowering plants in the family Apocynaceae, native to a region that includes parts of South America and North America. The classification of venover remains unclear, with some sources grouping it under the subfamily Rauvolfioideae and others considering it part of the subfamily Apocynoideae.

Information on the physical appearance and size of venover is limited. According to a few botanical descriptions, the flowers are small and fragrant, typically producing white or off-white petals and a yellow center with a central cluster of stamens. The flowers yield small fruit that subsequently disperse the plant's seeds.

Different species of venover exist, with some exhibiting distinctive characteristics such as plant height variations. This can range, with some plants studied reaching as high as 3 to 10 centimeters or standing as low as 1 to 5 centimeters in height. The stems may also display different shades of green, ranging from a dark green to a pale green, as observed in botanical illustrations.
