venekeelse
Venekeelse is a lesser-known language primarily spoken in the small, isolated community of Veneke, located in the northern part of the Netherlands. It is a West Germanic language, closely related to Dutch, but it has developed unique features and vocabulary due to its geographical isolation and the influence of local dialects. The language is spoken by approximately 500 people, making it one of the most endangered languages in the world. Efforts are being made to preserve and revitalize Venekeelse through language classes, cultural events, and the creation of digital resources. The language's grammar and syntax are similar to Dutch, but it has a distinct phonology and a rich set of loanwords from neighboring languages. Despite its endangered status, Venekeelse remains an important part of the cultural heritage of the Veneke community.
