Beliefs and practices: Common elements attributed to vedamists include extensive study of the Vedas and related literature, contemplation or meditation, mantra practice, and an emphasis on ethical conduct rooted in dharma. Practices may range from liturgical recitations to personal disciplines aimed at self-inquiry and social harmony.
