valtavaux
Valtavaux was a former municipality in the district of Jura-Nord Vaudois in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It is situated in the western part of the canton, near the town of Moudon, and lies at an elevation of approximately 425 metres above sea level. The municipality covered an area of 3.12 square kilometres. As of 2005, its population was recorded at 452 residents, with a demographic composition typical of small Swiss rural communities: a mix of families, commuters, and a stable elderly population.
Historically, Valtavaux was first mentioned in medieval documents under the name "Valtava" in the 12th century.
