Unretractable is an adjective used to describe something that cannot be withdrawn, pulled back, or taken back. This term often applies to physical objects, such as the claws of certain animals that are permanently extended and cannot be sheathed. For example, the claws of a cheetah are partially retractable, meaning they can be drawn in to some extent, while those of a crocodile are unretractable and always visible.
Beyond the literal, unretractable can also describe abstract concepts. A statement that is unretractable, for instance,
