Ultraäänimittarit, known in English as ultrasonic meters, are devices that use sound waves to measure physical quantities. They operate by emitting high-frequency sound pulses and then detecting the echoes that return after reflecting off an object or surface. The time it takes for the sound to travel to the object and back, combined with the known speed of sound, allows for the calculation of distance. This principle is the basis for their use in various applications, primarily for non-contact measurement.
One of the most common uses of ultraäänimittarit is in level measurement. They are employed in tanks,
