Tuoteluukut, also known as Tuoteluukut National Park, is a protected area located in the northern part of Finland, within the Lapland region. Established in 1982, the park covers an area of approximately 1,200 square kilometers and is managed by Metsähallitus, the Finnish Forest and Park Service. The park is renowned for its diverse and pristine wilderness, which includes vast forests, numerous lakes, and the Torne River. The landscape is characterized by its rugged terrain, with peaks reaching up to 500 meters above sea level, and is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including the endangered European brown bear and the Arctic fox. Tuoteluukut is also significant for its cultural heritage, with traditional Sami reindeer herding practices still taking place within the park. The area is accessible via the E8 highway and offers opportunities for hiking, fishing, and wildlife observation. Visitors are advised to follow park regulations to minimize their impact on the environment and to respect the local Sami communities.
