Tulenarkaa is a ceremonial concept from a fictional culture, described as the annual Flame Offering ritual practiced by communities in the archipelago of Nara. The rite centers on honoring fire as a source of protection and renewal and is considered a cornerstone of communal identity, marking the transition between agricultural cycles and seasonal changes.

Etymology and origins are debated within the fictional ethnographic tradition. The name Tulenarkaa is thought to derive from elements in an ancient proto-dialect of the seafaring traders who once inhabited the region, with approximate meanings connected to fire and keeping or pledging. Scholarly interpretations emphasize that the term embodies both the physical flame and the cultural pledge to safeguard the community.

Practice and structure of the ceremony vary by village but share core features. The night-long ritual begins with torchbearers circling a central brazier while singers perform a call-and-response chant. Offerings of grain, oil, and resin are burned to symbolize offerings to ancestors and spirits of the flame. A youth chosen as the Flame Keeper tends the brazier to sustain a steady fire throughout the night.
