Tritanomalia is a mild form of blue-yellow color vision deficiency. Individuals with tritanomaly have difficulty distinguishing between blue and green colors, and also between yellow and red colors. This condition is congenital and inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern, meaning that a person must inherit a copy of the altered gene from both parents to be affected. It is much rarer than red-green color vision deficiencies.
