Trikuspidalisk refers to a condition affecting the tricuspid valve, one of the four valves in the heart. The tricuspid valve is located between the right atrium and the right ventricle. Its primary function is to ensure that blood flows in the correct direction from the atrium to the ventricle and to prevent backflow into the atrium during ventricular contraction. Trikuspidalisk, more commonly known as tricuspid regurgitation or tricuspid insufficiency, occurs when this valve does not close properly, allowing blood to leak backward into the right atrium.

This leakage can lead to a variety of symptoms, although in mild cases, individuals may experience no noticeable effects. When symptoms do occur, they can include fatigue, shortness of breath, swelling in the abdomen, legs, or ankles, and a fluttering sensation in the chest. The severity of trikuspidalisk can range from mild to severe, and its underlying causes are diverse. These can include primary valve problems, such as prolapse or damage from conditions like rheumatic fever, or secondary issues arising from enlargement of the right ventricle or increased pressure in the pulmonary artery. Diagnosis typically involves echocardiography, which uses ultrasound to visualize the heart and assess valve function. Treatment strategies depend on the severity of the regurgitation and the presence of symptoms, ranging from medical management to surgical repair or replacement of the tricuspid valve.
