Transzplantáció refers to the surgical procedure of transferring an organ or tissue from one part of the body to another or from one individual to another. Deceased donor transplants are typically coordinated through national organ sharing networks, which aim to match available organs with recipients based on medical urgency, blood type, tissue type, and other factors. Living donation offers an alternative for certain organs, like kidneys and parts of the liver, and can sometimes reduce waiting times.

Transplant surgery is complex and requires a multidisciplinary medical team. While transplants can be life-saving, they carry risks, including surgical complications, infection, and organ rejection. Ongoing medical care and monitoring are essential to ensure the long-term success of the transplant.
